ORION 37 is designed as a chemically resistant high temperature grease, containing PTFE anti-wear, anti-oxidants and anti-corrosion additives to provide long term performance in chemically aggressive and high temperature atmospheres.

ORION 37 is a non-toxic grease suitable for plain and anti-friction bearings as well as sliding surfaces. Typically used in “clean room” environments.

ORION 39 CHEMICAL RESISTANT GREASE

ORION 39 is a white, PTFE thickened, perfluorinated polyether grease.

The exceptional thermal stability of this grease ensures very long term lubrication characteristics. Suitable for the lubrication of bearings, slides, small gears and valves operating at high temperatures, up to 280ºC.

Highly resistant to chemicals and solvents, and can be used in the presence of oxygen. Also suitable for applications requiring ‘lubrication for life.

ORION 47 HIGH TEMP NON MELT LUBRICANT

Orion 47 is a stable drop point grease with a resistance to temperatures of up to 260C (500F)! Ordinary greases have unstable drop points because they conform to the "soap" type greases, which deteriorate rapidly under high heat conditions.

Orion 47 however, contains solid and highly-micronized supplements that are impossible to melt-providing a "carrier" for the mineral oil.

As carrier, they ensure that Orion 47 remains stable up to -and including -the drop point of beyond 260C (500F). Ordinary greases cannot cope with temperature changes and begin to melt at a temperature well below 260C (500F).

ORION 49 ULTRA HIGH TEMP LUBRICANT

ORION 49. is an industrial, extreme temperature, medium consistency, plain and rolling bearing grease for applications of operating temperatures up to 600oC.

It is a dispersion of fine particle size graphite, incorporated in a synthetic fluid which evaporates cleanly at high temperatures without leaving abrasive ash deposits.

ORION 49. is primarily designed for extreme temperature operations such as kiln car bearings, furnace door and drying tunnel mechanisms.

At very high temperatures, conventional high temperature greases have severe limitations as their performance is restricted by their base fluid and thickener systems.

These degrade at high temperatures destroying the grease structure so shortening the useful working life of the grease.

ORION 49. is designed so that, at elevated temperatures, its liquid phase evaporates without leaving abrasive carbon deposits.

ORION 97 SUPER EP BEARING AND CHASSIS GREASE

Orion 97 is an advanced, impact-resistant, chassis and bearing lubricant.
It provides an exceptional standard of lubrication to the endless variety of mechanical equipment in use today.
This results in dramatically reduced inventories, downtime and maintenance cost.
Orion 97 resists squeeze-out and thinning. Bearings must provide the support and constraint to a moving link of kinematic chains or mechanisms. The prime objective is to retain complete lubricant coverage and yet still provide maximum mechanical freedom.
Orion 97 provides excellent reduction of friction between journal and bearing.
This results in considerably lower energy consumption and wear - especially during the critical start-up period.

Orion 288 is a new type of lubricant designed to lubricate, protect, and prolong the life of all types of seals. Seals on pumps, mining machinery, marine motors, construction equipment, and automotive transmissions are not made to last forever.

The conditions under which a piece of equipment is operated and the condition of the seal, when originally installed, determine the life of the seal.

Every maintenance engineer knows that deterioration of seals is a major cause of equipment malfunction, resulting in costly machinery downtime. It is not uncommon for seals, due to ageing, to start deteriorating even before they are installed. Due to their composition, seals must be lubricated consistently and constantly to prevent drying.

When seals dry out (shrink and crystallize), they become ineffective.

ORION 295 SUPER MULTIFUNCTIONAL DIESEL ADDITIVE

Diesel fuel is widely used in the industrial sector, it requires less refining than gasoline and is therefore cheaper to produce. Diesel also contains higher energy density than gasoline and combined with high efficiency diesel engines today produce better mileage performance.

Diesel engine combustion is also very different from gasoline engines.Where gasoline engines have the advantage of a spark to ignite the air fuel mixture a diesel engine relies on the compressive heat to ignite the air fuel mixture. The diesel fuel must be finely and evenly injected into the compressed air in the cylinder to obtain efficient combustion. Diesel injectors are subject to the high heat from the combustion process and residues there of as they are fitted directly into the cylinder head. This makes the injectors prone to wear and soot build up which reduce the ability to function correctly resulting in increased fuel consumption and lower performance. This also puts greater strain on the engine and drive train leading to increased wear, not only of components but lubricants necessitating more frequent service intervals. Diesel engine performance and economy are influenced greatly by the function of the fuel injection system and fuel quality.

Fuel injection systems are now common on both diesel and petrol engines and more recently with electronicly controlled types.

The main cause of injector fouling is the fuels themselves.

Injectors are subject to high heat and these temperatures promote gums and coke to form. This situation occours in not only older models but even new engines and electronicly controlled systems are more sensitive.

The build up of gum and coke inhibit the injectors from functioning optimaly and symptoms such as rough idling, difficulty in starting and increased fuel consumption can be experienced. With an increase in unburnt fuel and particles passing through the exhaust these not only produce unpleasant smoke and toxic fumes they also shorten the life of expensive catylitic converters

ORION 730 HIGH TEMP CHAIN LUBRICANT

Orion 730 is a general purpose lubricant suitable for the long term lubrication of drive chains and overhead conveyor chains. Particularly suited for dusty conditions and heavy duty applications as well as in wet environments both in- and outdoors.

Inclusion of special micronized “moly” ensures Orion 730 continues to lubricate up to 400°C when the “wet” oil film is lost. Orion 730 prevents chatter on slow moving chains and at start up. Ordinary chain lubricants have difficulty keeping metal surfaces from each other, particularly at start up and higher speeds, which causes wear and this wear is evident in the “chain stretch”. The wear and stretch is not only power robbing but causes chains to “climb” the sprocket teeth causing them to wear excessively fast with costly replacement as a result. Orion 730 with its unique hydrodynamic film and evenly dispersed micronized moly will prevent excessive wear and greatly extend the life of chains and sprockets. Orion 730 can be used on wire rope applications.
